So you do as much as you can to have as little impact on the environment by buying local, driving an electric car, and recycling. Maybe you even take it one step further and buy natural clothing and home products but have you thought about your bed? If we really want to leave as little of a footprint as possible we need to consider all of the products we consume and the beds we buy are no exception. Fortunately Keetsa makes makes a line of affordable sleep products that have minimal impact on the environment. Here are few reasons why we recommend Keetsa.

Keetsa.com is mainly known for their mattresses but they also carry other sleep products like pillows and sheet sets made of organic cotton and bamboo blends, great for people who have sensitive skin or allergies. Since they are mainly known for their mattresses their line of bed furnishings isn't too extensive so if you're looking for a larger selection be sure to check out our review of Coyuchi.com

Keetsa carries mattresses in the traditional coil style or our personal favorite, memory foam. Their mattresses come in sizes ranging from Twin to California King. What really sets Keetsa's mattresses apart from other mattress manufacturers though is their commitment to sustainability. Although their products are not organic they are manufactured to be as eco-friendly  as possible. For example they use cedar oils in place of petroleum products during the manufacturing process to create a product that is less toxic than traditional mattresses. They also use green tea extract to reduce the offensive odor that you get with most new mattresses.

They also walk the walk when it comes to their packaging and delivery process. By selling directly to the consumer from their stores they reduce the middlemen and therefore reduce the amount of fossil fuels used to transport their products. You can either take your bed home yourself (due to their small and convenient packaging) to save on delivery costs (and fossil fuels) or they will ship it to you for free! The boxes their beds come in are also 100% recyclable.

Their manufacturing process also produces less waste than other foam products. Their manufacturer in China uses a unique patent pending process which utilizes wasted foam rather than having it end up in a landfill. In addition all of the employees at their manufacturing plant get a living wage and have a safe, clean working environment.

So what's their warranty and return policy like? As we mentioned already they offer free shipping to the contiguous United States and most of Canada. Their return policy is also very generous as well. Since it takes a while to adjust to a new bed they require that you test it out for at least 30 days. If after 30 days you are still unhappy with your purchase you have up to an additional 60 days to return your purchase. Assuming you fall in love with your new Keetsa mattress they offer a 12 year warranty so you can rest assured that you'll get lots of years out of your new bed.

So we decided to save the best for last. Consumers are getting smarter and smarter these days and we always say we are going to spend our money with companies that share the same values as us. This is why we recommend Keetsa so much. They donate $20,000 each year to Operation Smile, a charity which gives free surgery to repair cleft palate and cleft lip repair surgery to children around the world. So not only does Keetsa put a smile on their customer's faces but they also help heal children's smiles as well.

So if you're in the market for a new mattress and you want to help make a difference for the earth, a child with a facial deformity,  or if you just want a product that is safe for your children then give Keetsa a try. Don't forget to recycle your old mattress by checking out one of the recycling companies on their website and, of course, don't forget to leave your Keetsa reviews below!
