We recently discovered a website so cool that we couldn't wait to get started on their review. HelloFresh.com is the best thing to happen to busy moms, single men, or anyone who loves fresh food and convenience for that matter. So what's got us so excited you ask? Well, thanks to HelloFresh you can have fresh food delivered straight to your door every week along with the recipes you need to create healthy and tasty meals for yourself or your entire family. Read on to see how it works and to find out if HelloFresh is right for you.
HelloFresh is a subscription service which allows you to choose from a selection of meals you'd like to prepare each week. They then ship all of the ingredients for each meal straight to your door each week along with beautiful recipe cards which include photos so you can cook like a pro. All herbs and spices are included as well. The only thing you need are some basic staples like salt, pepper, sugar, butter, and olive oil.
Their have two subscriptions to choose from, the “Classic Box” which includes meat and fish, and the “Veggie Box” for vegetarian meals. With each plan you receive one box per week which includes all of the ingredients you need (minus the staples mentioned above) for three different meals. You just decide how many people you need to cook for. You can choose a quantity of 2, 4, or 6. The cost of a Classic Box starts at $69 per week (including shipping) so you get 3 recipes plus all of the ingredients you need to cook 3 meals for 2 people. That's equal to 6 servings for a little more than $11 each. That's a great price considering they do all the planning for you and deliver it straight to your door so you don't have to take a trip to the grocery store or put any thought into preparation. The 3 meal plan for 6 people sells for $179 which works out to just under $10 per serving…including shipping! The cost of the Veggie Box is less so it makes even more sense for vegetarians who are considering their service.
Currently HelloFresh does not ship all over the U.S. but if you live on the east coast you are in luck. They deliver to the entire east coast and at the time of this review 30 out of the 50 U.S. states. According to their website though they do plan on adding more states to their delivery zone so if you want to make sure to get alerted once they do deliver to your area be sure to head over to their site and fill out their “Zip code subscription form.”
We absolutely love the idea of a service like this. Anything to save us time is a no brainer and considering what we've seen on their website we can tell that you get a lot of value for your money. Unfortunately they don't deliver to our area but we'll be the first to try them once they do.
